I am so pleased with the beautiful bathroom designs that our designer Carol came up with for our new home. We actually went on a trip to Europe and gave her free reign of the space so that it could be finished by the time we got back. I told her that we wanted traditional bathroom ideas with an eclectic twist so that they don't feel old and stale. It was as if she read my mind and could see the vision that I had, because everything down to the last door knob is exactly what I wanted. My favorite part is definitely the beautiful bathroom vanities paired with the contemporary glass tile behind the mirrors and sconces. That extra layer prevents the ultra traditional wood panelling from looking too stale, but rather gives it a fun and slightly contemporary twist.
I am thrilled that this website has no shortage of beautiful bathroom designs to inspire me and help me make some sense of what to do with our current master bath situation. I have always avoided bathroom makeovers because they feel intensively expensive for me to try to figure out on my own. But then the double edged sword is the fact that hiring a designer to figure out what to do for you is also expensive haha. So here I am trying my hardest to figure it out on my own. I must say though, I have found so many simple bathroom designs on here that seem perfectly attainable. This one is my favorite one that I have come across so far, and I think that it would be relatively easy to achieve if I hire the right tile guy and plumber. All of the materials seem relatively easy to source if you ask me.
When I think about beautiful bathroom designs, all of those marble and white glamorous rooms that you see on here pop into my head. I suppose that I am preprogrammed by all of the decor magazines and Instagram accounts that I follow, but I really want to expand my horizon and learn about other really awesome bathroom designs. This one really stood out to me because it is boldly contemporary, but still has a softness to it from all of the natural materials like wood and slate. In fact, I think that it is the soft warm finish on the wood vanity (and coordinating shower tile) that brings that feminine air to an otherwise ultra masculine master bath. These are certainly some beautiful bathroom ideas, and some that I wish I had a use for in our house.
I really want our master suite to be one of those beautiful bathroom designs that people oh and ah over on here, but I just don't think that it is there yet. We have a really nice foundation going on, and it actually incorporates a lot of the super trendy modern bathroom designs 2022 that I have been seeing in these galleries. It is quite neutral (only tan and white), the tile is funky yet still blends into the background, and everything is very updated and luxe. I just think that it is lacking those really unique touches that give it that polished and high end look that so many beautiful bathroom pictures on here have. What do you think that we could do to take our bathroom to the next level?
I always thought that you needed to hire a professional designer in order to achieve beautiful bathroom designs like this. But I am learning more and more by reading the forums and comments on this site, and realizing that a lot of the beautiful bathrooms on here that I thought were super high end were actually planned out by the homeowners themselves. With that knowledge, I decided to take on our master bath remodel all on my own and see what I could come up with. I must say, I am super impressed with how my master bathroom designs came together! In fact, I am so proud that I figured I would post them on here to see what you all think. I tried to keep things neutral aside from a few splashes of green that I brought in through textiles (that I can easily swap for something different if I grow tired of the green shade).
You don't see beautiful bathroom designs like this everyday, especially not in your average run of the mill American home. Sometimes I feel like I should not do funky bathroom decor like this in our classic suburban home, but then I think why not? This is our house after all, and it should be decorated in a way that brings us joy. Sure, I can avoid super "out there" decorative features like the red mosaic tile wall since this may not necessarily be our forever home. But all black, whites, and metallic, with some really cool and colorful artwork could be a pretty close replica to this. Yes, it definitely is not going to fit in with most of the popular bathroom ideas 2022 that are posted on here, but I like it and that is all that matters, right?
