Who else has been spending all of their time lately looking at kitchen renovation ideas so that when this is all over we can totally redo our house? Just me? Haha. Truly though, I have really enjoyed my extra time off trying to figure out small kitchen ideas that we can use to upgrade ours while not spending a ton of money. Sometimes I consider us to be DIYers, that is until we actually get started, so these will likely be projects for our handyman. I was particularly intrigued by the beam accent that they used on the ceiling in here. I think it provides a surprising contrast against the rest of their ultra elegant kitchen decor, and is something that I think our home could really benefit from.
These kitchen renovation ideas are truly out of this world, mostly do the the lofty vaulted ceilings and bright sunlight that streams in through all of the windows. The home is quite large on its own, but those features alone make it seem even larger and grander. From what I have seen in my personal experience as well as through all of the photos on here, all beautiful kitchens utilize light very well. Something about gorgeous sunshiny light makes everything just feel larger and newer -- two things that you really want in a room like this. So for anybody on here that is planning out a kitchen remodel (or remodel of any other room for that matter), I would highly highly recommend focusing on windows and ceiling height to see if you can do anything special there.
I have notice that I tend to gravitate towards more unique kitchen renovation ideas, and those that tend to have a funkier vibe than most people would usually go for on here. For example, this awesome modern kitchen is definitely one of my favs because they whole living area flows together so effortlessly while bringing in some serious retro vibes. The thought of utilizing a more retro style scares some people I think, but the key to making it work is by combining it with more contemporary pieces in order to modernize it. For example, the actual cooking area of this design is ultra contemporary and has so many cool new features that are very fresh in kitchen design ideas 2022. This provides a nice balance to the retro and vintage furniture like the dining table and funky grey couches.
I am wondering what people think that we should do as far as kitchen renovation ideas in here. Honestly, I feel like the entire design is kind of a mishmash of different styles, color palettes, and textures -- but not really in a good way. I have a pretty eclectic design sense so I am definitely not a person that needs everything in a kitchen design to match perfectly and all be in the same shade of like three colors. But my issue here is that the undertones really don't match. If I have learned anything in my experience doing home decor projects, it is that you really need to at least coordinate the undertones of all of the materials and color palettes. That way you can have mix and match kitchen remodel ideas, but they still all look cohesive.
When it comes to kitchen renovation ideas, I tend to gravitate towards the slightly more eclectic because I think that they make a space that is essentially designed for work, far more fun and exciting. If I could pick out any single home on this website, and magically get to live in it, I think it would definitely be this one for me. The reason that I picked this one is basically singled handedly the kitchen ideas that they used. Everything from the gorgeous wood cabinets to the funky granite island with matte black pendent lights and diving wood and leather stools is just extraordinary. I can only imagine how amazing every other room in this house is. Since I do not think that the owner is really going to want me to just up and move in, I may need to try to figure out how to translate this into our small kitchen design instead.
I find it helpful to pick out an inspiration room of some sort when I am doing any type of home renovation project, and this is certainly no different when it comes to kitchen renovation ideas. It took me quite a long time to find the home that I wanted to replicate for our latest kitchen project, but all of that research was worth it because it lead me to this gallery. These are some of the most beautiful kitchen design pictures that I have seen on here, and could really provide a basis for the rest of our open concept living area as well. My favorite part is all of the icy blue and grey shades that look so clean and modern paired with simple white accents. I know that kitchen makeovers like this are not quick or inexpensive, but I think that the finished product is going to be so worth it.
